Grrlzone Townsville was established in 1994, as an independent Women's and Lesbian Collective to provide safe, fun and diverse Women's entertainment events which support Women in Townsville and Thuringowa NQ.

Grrlzone is involved in a number of differing services within the area, but most notably is the Women's Dance, now known as GrrlSpot.

GrrlSpot is on the first Friday of each month at Molly Malone's on Flinders St East.

GrrlSpot has a great mix of the latest and greatest hits with DJ Delush, pool table, regular entertainment from our resident Drag "Queen", Connie Lingus, as well as local singers. GrrlSpot runs from 9pm to 2am with $5 entry.

GrrlZone has links in the Lesbian and Bi-sexual Women's Community, Women's groups, Rainbow families, and LGBTI community groups.

GrrlZone also supports fundraising for local appeals and concerns and Rainbow Families.

Based in Townsville NQ, GrrlZone, a non-hierarchical collective, has been established for over 13 years, making Grrlzone one of the longest running Women's groups in Australia!
