The North Queensland Combined Women's Services provide crisis support and counselling to women. They are also organisers for women's events including International Women's Day and Reclaim the Night.

The Townsville QAHC office has closed with a new North Queensland Resource Centre to open in Cairns. The new centre will allow QAHC to expand it's services in the North Queensland Region, with a range of health services and information for the GLBTI Community.

The Anti-Violence Committee meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the Domestic Violence Resource Centre at 1pm.
The AVC is a dynamic group of organisations and individuals who work together to raise awareness of homophobia and homophobic violence in Townsville and Thuringowa and advocates for the rights of GLBTI people. The AVC has a new membership deal, Join now for the 2007/08 financial year and get the rest of the 06/07 year free! Another Closet is written for people in same sex relationships experiencing domestic violence. It contains information on what domestic violence is, domestic violence in same sex relationships, what to do if you are experiencing abuse.
